The KBE 1 and KBE 1D are easy-to-operate, single-pole outdoor switching device, the disconnecting path of which can clearly be seen. These devices are operated via an insulated rod or an electric motor drive. The KBE 1D disconnector can be equipped with a LV indication box for remote indication of the disconnector's ON or OFF switching position.

The KBE 1 and KBE 1D disconnectors are used for no-load disconnecting of sections of MV networks. The isolated distance is clearly visible on the disconnector.

The KBE1 and KBE 10 disconnectors conform with the ÈSN 35 4205 eqv IEC 694, ÈSN 35 4210 eqv IEC 129 and VDE 0670, Part 2 standards. The insulation of the disconnectors complies with the requirements on area contamination degree III as specified by the ÈSN 33 0405 standard.
The quality of material supplied and the quality of processing is consistent with the ISO 9000 requirements.

The KBE 1 and KBE 1D disconnectors are single-pole switching devices in outdoor design the isolating distance of which can clearly be seen on the device in disconnected (OFF) position. The current-carrying path consists of two knife contacts connected in parallel, with a spring operated contact system, and of two contact holders with connecting clamps. The holders are fixed to ceramic (or plastic) insulators, secured to the supporting frame of the disconnector.
Parts of the disconnector made of steel material are protected by hot galvanization against corrosion. The connecting material, contact springs and small steel made parts of the current-carrying path are manufactured from stainless steel.
The disconnector can be operated both in vertical and horizontal positions.
The KBE 1 disconnector is operated by means of an insulated handling rod with hook that fits into a disconnecting lug fixed to the moving knife contacts. The making or breaking of the disconnector occurs by pulling or pushing the rod. The KBE 1D disconnector is operated through a hand drive (or other appropriate drive).

KBE 1D

If mounted to a pole, the disconnector is secured by two special holders and two stirrups. In this particular case the disconnected path (isolated distance) is to find itself on the upper side of the assembly, and the connection of powering leads occurs from the rear side to the cutting-in lever. When mounted horizontally (to a wall or to other supports) the disconnector body is to be fixed to holders, located at a distance of at least 100 mm from the vertical wall. In such a case the disconnected path (isolated distance) finds itself on the upper side and the powering leads are connected from the rear side to the cutting-in lever. When choosing the horizontal mounting position the disconnector is to be fixed to 100 mm supports (the shaft lever moves under the bear-on surface of the disconnector), with the cutting-in lever being placed approximately in front of and against the shaft lever. The axis of the operation angle of the cutting-in lever is always placed under a right angle (perpendicularly) to the operating pull rod. In case of mounting the indication box to the disconnector in horizontal position, the bottom edge of the box reaches 100 mm under the bear-on surface. Then, by using the pull rod (and the rocking bearings), the disconnector is linked with the hand operated drive and the adjustment of making and breaking function is performed. After finishing the adjustment steps the disconnector is connected to the powering network.

KBE 1

This type of disconnector is fixed to the supporting frame through the holes in the "U" profile, by keeping to the specified working position. The connection to the electric circuit occurs either through a busbar or a cable with lug. After finishing the assembly works and prior the commissioning the disconnector making and breaking position is to be re-checked.
